Ya’ll pprobably know by now that I’m addicted to upcycling. AKA using ‘old’ items to create new, useful, beautiful things!! Upcycling can be a fun and easy and get those creative juices flowing! I’ve wanted an apothecary jar of some sort for displays and storage… but they’re so darn expensive! These little (and big) beauties are becoming more and more popular with brides and as décor in homes. Sure you could fork out $45+ to buy a new one, but why would you when you can create your own upcycled apothecary jar?!?!?
To make your own upcycled apothecary jar you will need:
1 Dish with Lid
1 Candle Stick
E6000 Adhesive
E6000 can securely attach glass, metal or porcelain easily. Place a small ribbon of E6000 around the top of the candle stick. Center the bottom of the dish on top of the candle stick and gently press down. Next, follow the directions of E6000; usually this includes leaving the item alone overnight.
Once the E6000 has set you can use your ‘brand new’ upcycled apothecary jar at a candy buffet, in your home or where ever you desire.
These pretty and practical upcycled apothecary jars are perfect for your mantel, for candy, for shop displays, for practically anything really!! If I had a mantle I’d probably have a hundred or so of these fun upcycled apothecary jars! Oh and did I mention they are awesome for Halloween and for parties??
Ok. So I am a little obsessed with this DIY project, but I mean who wouldn’t be!?!?! When its this easy to create your own upcycled apothecary jar and save some serious cash, its easy to get a little excited!
