I’m a quilt making machine! In less than a month I made/finished 5 quilts! That is one heck of a record for me! Usually I make a part of a quilt top, or a whole quilt top, set it aside and completely forget about it! Thats kind of what happened with this beautiful Pixilated Heart Quilt!
I got this quilt top finished in February at the last Quilting Retreat I was at. I had planned on finishing it later that month… but well… that obviously didn’t happen! A few weeks ago I took the time to get it quilted and add on the binding.
I took inspiration for this quilt from some beautiful pixilated heart quilt pins I found on Pinterest. Check out these pretty quilts …. Quilt 1 Quilt 2 Quilt 3 With these pretties in my brain, I went to work laying out my charm pack squares in a heart shape. I spent quite a bit of time working on the lay out for this quilt top. I didn’t want the same fabric touching at any point or within in a few squares of itself. I even added some fabric from the Quilt Retreats shop to the mix.
Once it was finally laid out the way I wanted, I was quite please! And the rows went together smooth like buttah! 😀
This Pixilated Heart Quilt finished at 55 x 50 inches. Its the perfect kid-sized snuggle blanket. It would also make a perfect baby blanket! I’m so thrilled with the way this one turned out.
If you love it as much as I do, it could be yours! I’ve listed it in my etsy shop 🙂 Check it out!
Very pretty! I’m planning on piecing my first quilt when I’m on break in December.
Seriously beautiful. When I see any of your quilts now, I think of the one you made me and am reminded of your talents AND heart.
