101 Handmade Days: Personalized Pillow Cover

God bless the person who invented iron on vinyl transfer! Seriously!!! Its amazing what you can create! And when you’ve got an awesome shop like Sip Simmer Serve that is more than willing to work with you on custom pieces, you can make just about anything! Like this personalized pillow cover!

Amanda from Sip Simmer Serve knocked this design out of the park for me. I asked for the first letter of our last name, and an “est. 2012” for our wedding year. The gorgeous wedding party dress She got back to me pretty quickly with some font options and I decided to go with this block font for me personalized pillow cover.

Having never worked with an iron on vinyl transfer, I was a little nervous about ruining my project. I checked and double checked the directions before starting, but it turns out, its not that complicated! With a little patience and a whole lot of heat, I managed to complete the process with out any hiccups! You can also make a bridesmaid dresses like this way. Yay me!

To complete the pillow cover, I used the same steps as my Easy DIY Envelope Pillow Cover. The most complicated part was finding the center of my piece of fabric for the placement of the iron on vinyl transfer.

One day, in the hopefully not-too-distant future, I’ll get to renovate our bedroom. When that day comes, this pretty little personalized pillow cover will take center stage on our bed!
