So normally on wednesdays I talk about all the projects I am in the middle of. That’s not changing this week either, BUT I also have a finished quilt top to share 🙂 Lets start with projects first…
** some of these images are poor iphone quality. I apologize.
I’ve got a bunch of fun fabrics ready to be turned into Basic Zips! Some of these will be headed into the shop, most will be going to the June Market with me 😀
These 4 soon-to-be Patchy Bears will be in the shop by the end of the week… hopefully!!
I’ve got another Vintage Sheet Quilt in the works 🙂 Pretty sure its gonna be awesome! I’m making it up as I go along (like I always do LOL) so hopefully I can get the idea in my head to work with the fabric I have on hand!
Now for the project I finished!! This one was a doozey! And something that I struggled with… there was no creativity in it for me and I quickly got bored. BUT, I had a client waiting for it… so it had to get done. In the end I am quite proud to have been a part of Miss Katie’s Memory Quilt.
Miss Katie was an incredible woman that went to the church that I go to here in town. In fact she’s one of the main reasons I chose Central over the other churches I checked out. She made me feel welcome, gave me a big hug and asked to hear my life story… and actually WANTED to hear it too 🙂 Its just over a year and a bit since she passed, and I still look for her at church sometimes. When her daughter asked my to put together this quilt top made up of some of Miss Katie’s favorite clothes, I was honored. The daughter cut the squares, planned the pay out, got all the boarder and accent fabrics and all I had to do was sew… which is where I struggled with staying focused.
In the end I think the hours of “mindless” sewing worked out pretty well and Miss Katie’s daughter will have a keep sake from her mother to treasure always. That being said, I probably won’t be doing another one of these for a while 😉
What projects are you working on this week?

I love it! Great work! I am currently not working on any projects, or maybe my current project is to find a project to work on! I am having five firemen over for lunch today, and yet I am sitting here at the computer. Maybe I should get working on THAT project! Haha!
