Coffee. Sweet, hot, brown morning beverage of the gods. I’m a fan, a definite fan! Not surprising if you know me at all. And if you don’t, you might have picked up on my love for good Cup of Joe from that first sentence 😉 But its not only that morning cup of liquid joy that helps wake me up in the morning! This Vanilla Peppermint Coffee Sugar Scrub is the ultimate get-up-and-go treat!

And can we talk about the skin benefits of using coffee in your body scrub? Caffeine is cellulite’s #1 enemy! It tightens and provides antioxidants to the skin, plus it has been shown to reduce the appearance of cellulite when rubbed in vigorously. Say hello to your new best beauty friend 🙂

Also, the peppermint in this Vanilla Peppermint Coffee Sugar Scrub packs one heck of a wake up punch and has plenty of healthy benefits of its own! Its great for skin brightening, acne control, and helps improves blood circulation. There are almost a million other things that peppermint oil is good for, but those are my favorite skin related benefits!

Onto the recipe for this scrumptious Vanilla Peppermint Coffee Sugar Scrub

1/2 Cup sugar
1/2 Cup Coffee Grounds (used or new doesn’t effect anything other than the strength of the coffee smell)
1/2 Cup Coconut Oil
10+ drops vanilla oil
10+ drops peppermint oil

Mix all these ingredients together in a medium sized mixing bowl and stir well. I went a little stronger on the peppermint for my Vanilla Peppermint Coffee Sugar Scrub, simply because I love a good peppermint punch to the face first thing in the morning when I shower!

Store your finished coffee sugar scrub in an air tight container. Keep it in the shower or in a cool, dry place in between uses. This scrub should be good for 4 weeks or so. And oooohhhhh let me tell you! This Vanilla Peppermint Coffee Sugar Scrub smells and feels scrum-didilli-umptious first thing in the morning! Any morning you’re having trouble waking up or just need a kick start to your brain right in the shower, this’ll do it!

Before I loved coffee as a beverage, as a kick-starter, I loved the smell of it brewing. Can only imagine how good this smells!

I can’t wait to make this…I was curious if it was regular or fractionated coconut oil?
