Sometimes I wish I had gotten to go to prom. Heck I wish I’d gotten to go to Highschool! If you’re new around here, or haven’t heard me mention it before, I was home schooled. From grade 1 right through 12. I was finished with school when I was 16, my only regret from my teen years, is that I never got to got to Prom! Especially with all the gorgeous dresses available these days!

Typically I’m not a yellow dress kind of girl, but there is something about this dress that i simply LOVE. I’m not sure if its the way it flows or drapes, or the one strap, or the wide silver belt, I just love this one. I even found the perfect accessories to go with it!

It just looks so soft and flowy and comfortable! I’d feel like the belle of the ball in that dress!! And let me tell you, it wasn’t easy to narrow down my favorites to just one! Maybe I’ll try and convince the Hubby that I need this dress anyways… I’m sure I’ll find some reason to wear it 🙂

My senior class boycotted prom, so no prom, but I honestly never missed it.

Oh prom… I found a bridesmaid dress that had been returned at JCPenney. It was brown (I was on a total brown kick senior year) and poofy. I loved it. Prom, however, was so-so since I went with the guy I'd broken up with just a week or so before. Oh well!

I was home schooled from kindergarten-5th grade! But I got to go to more than my fair share of proms since I dated a boy from a different school. It was exciting to dress up, but I couldn't afford new dresses, most of the dresses I wore for dances were hand me downs, or were purchased from a local consignment shop or if they were bought new, they came from a discount shore. As a grown up, I can afford pretty dresses now, but I have much less of a chance to wear them! Which is part of why I LOVE formal night on cruise vacations… it's way better than prom.
I'm not a big fan of the color yellow, but that dress is gorgeous! Made even better by those accessories.

Gorgeous dresses! A few years ago, our daughter was a Deb her junior year in high school. We have a closet dedicated to all of the formals that were bought during that one year period. Seriously. I have got to get rid of them, we need the space! I'm glad our formal buying days are OVER!

You have great taste! I love those dresses & the yellow one "pops". Don't feel bad. I missed mine too (well, more like my parents disallowed it) HA! & have thought about it over the years!
