Simple & Sweet Cinnamon Chip Biscuits

Have you ever been in the mood from something sweet and homemade, but not had the time or inclination to do major baking? That’s me pretty much everyday… I love homemade goodies, but don’t always want to go through the effort and time to make them. Recently a friend introduced me to the wonderfulness that is Hersey’s Cinnamon Chips. I was pretty much hooked instantly! I’ve tried in a few different recipes, but its hard to beat a still-warm-from-the-oven, simple, sweet cinnamon chip biscuit!

These gooey, warm, cinnamon chip biscuits are perfect for any time, day or night, but are a definite favorite during the cold mornings we’ve been having lately. Served with a cup of tea and a good book, you won’t get me to budge off the couch! And whipping up a batch really couldn’t be easier!

Ingredients: Cinnamon Chips, Your favorite quick biscuit mix (or use your favorite scratch recipe), Ground Cloves, Ground Nutmeg & Pumpkin Pie Spice.

Instructions: Add your dry biscuit mix to a mixing bowl. Add 1/8th teaspoon of the ground cloves & nutmeg and a 1/4 teaspoon of the pumpkin pies spice. Follow the directions to mix the biscuits. Stir in 1/3 – 1/2 cup cinnamon chips.

Using tablespoons form balls, drop the dough on a cookie sheet. Bake at 450 degrees for 11 minutes (or use the baking directions from your mix).

These little bits of yumminess are best served warm.

Those biscuits look so good…and I bet they would be even better with chocolate gravy ladled over the top. 😉

I can't believe it! I ask Mr.P to buy a can of cinnamon rolls just yesterday! How weird is that?? My daughter loves cinnamon and she's coming home from college this weekend – I'm making these for her instead of what comes out of the can! She will go nuts! Thanks for sharing!
