Oh lordy. Let me tell you… its exhausting moving massive amounts of stuff around in the 100+ degree Texas heat! I’m ready for a cold shower, a colder adult beverage and nice long sleep, which is why I’m writing this now and scheduling it for tomorrow (or rather today)! 🙂
It was a mostly successful weekend. There weren’t quite as many people as I was hoping, but the customers I did have were in love with my handmade goodies! Going into September’s market weekend, I knew it was more about an investment in getting my presence known than a chance to make fistfuls of money. Lets face it… everybody just put their kids back in school, they need a little break from spending before they start worrying about Christmas! Lots of people were asking if I’d be there next month, and that means future business! 🙂
I had a pretty decent set up, and it didn’t take too long to get my product out and ready on saturday morning. My space felt a little narrow, but it seemed to work just fine.
Despite it being a massive pain in the you-know-what to move and get home, that wooden monstrosity did exactly what I hoped it would do… get people’s attention and draw them in! It’s exactly what I needed to display my hoops. Next month I need to remember to being a step stool so I can get things closer to the top!
The morning was a total snooze fest. So I did some pretend shopping (the kind where you look but don’t buy anything, kind of like what people did to me all weekend), took some selfies, played the new minion game I downloaded, read several short stories on my kindle app, and made new friends 🙂
I still have TONS of bracelets left! Anybody interested in an Arm Party Instagram Sale???
All in all a good weekend! Now I’ll take a break for a few days, catch up on custom orders, update the online shops inventory and get ready to do it all over again in a month!
How was your weekend?
