Its hard to believe that its already August! And its my Birthday Month! SO I am kicking off the month long celebration with this incredibly delicious and refreshing Rasperry Citrus Summer Sangria!
Rasperry Citrus Summer Sangria Ingredients
1 bottle Rose or Blush wine that you like
1 bottle Sparkling wine, sparkling fruit juice, champagne, anything you prefer with carbonation.
2 C Fresh Raspberries
1 Orange, large
4 oz. Grande Mariner or another orange flavored liquor
8 oz. Any berry flavored fruit juice
Rasperry Citrus Summer Sangria Directions
Hours before serving (preferably the night before), take two clean ice cube trays. Fill each compartment with a few fresh raspberries. Then fill each compartment with the berry flavored juice. Put in the freezer to freeze completely.
When serving, combine in a large pitcher, the frozen berry ice cubes, the wine, the orange liquor, the sparkling beverage with carbonation and any extra raspberries that were not put into the frozen ice cubes.
Slice the orange in large slices and slide them into the pitcher among the ice cubes. Reserve one orange slice wheel to decorate the glasses.
Serve and enjoy!
Let me tell you, the raspberries and the orange slices pair together so well with the wine, fruit juice and liqour. This Raspberry Citrus Summer Sangria is light, crisp and so refreshing with just the right touch of fruity-ness! I’m totally going to be serving this when we celebrate my birthday later this month!
This is the perfect, refreshing and berry-licious sangria for cooling off as the summer winds down! I can just imagine myself, relaxing on the back porch, watching the sun set with a class of this incredible Raspberry Citrus Summer Sangria! In fact I think thats what I’ll do this weekend when my best friend comes to town to celebrate my birthday a little early! Some girl time is just what I need and this Sangria will be the perfect touch!
*As always, Please drink responsibly!*
