Learning, Learning and more Learning #TBWC13

This post may contain affiliate or brand partner links. Read our full disclosure here.

This weekend was an intense one folks! In fact it might take me until Wednesday to truly recover! Why you ask? Well let me tell you! I got to participate in the Blog Workshop’s first online conference and it was Ah-Mazing! It was Learning, learning and more learning all weekend long AND from the comfort of home! If you follow my on twitter you may have seen the #TBWC13 hashtag used a lot!

the blog workshop

Here are some highlights of what I learned…

2013-05-20 12.43.31

“Be busy AWAY from your blog to direct people TO your blog. Engaging elsewhere makes people go digging!” ~ Laura Summers from Naked Blogging

“SEO is leverage! It’s the ability to create traffic with out CREATING the traffic.” Dan R. Morris from Letters from Dan

“A brand is not just what your blog looks like, but it’s also what you stand for.” Lindsay Lee from Blog Trends

“Brands (and advertisers) are looking for engagement-focused: Traffic + Quality Content + Interaction” Ryan Shram from Izea Media

2013-05-20 12.42.42

There were a number of experts and TONS of practical information! Like I literally have a “blog to do list” that is going to keep me busy for at least a month! For a lot of participants this was their first conference, and a great way to launch their blog and blogging career. For me this was my 3rd conference, so somethings I had heard before, but I still learned lots and was refreshed on some ever-changing aspects of the blogging world. I don’t think blogging is ever something that can ever be mastered … it’s an ever-changing and evolving thing… and there is always so much to learn! But opportunities like this at home conference definitely help make a difference in the level of your game!

There will be another Blog Workshop Conference next year, and if you’re a blogger I highly recommend it! In the mean time, get involved with the TBW community ! There is lots to be learned and some great monthly live classes planned! I’ll be back in June for Dan R. Morris’ SEO workshop! Can’t wait!

Great post, Jennifer! I've been to a couple online conferences, and The Blog Workshop did an excellent job of putting this conference together. And, the attendees were out-of-this-world awesome! 🙂
