Its been a wonky weekend, and my internet connection has been problematic, to say the least! I’ve finally been able to put together this weeks Handmade Love!!

Handmade Love - Flawed Perfection Jewelry - BusyBeingJennifer.com

Tell us about how you got started…

I’m Megan Reynolds, a 23 year-old entrepreneur who attempts to balance my business, working at my church, and doing social media consulting. After a long love affair with jewelry and making jewelry, I launched my business when I was 18, right out of high school, in August 2009. I was young, but leaped into the business and never looked back! For the first 4 years of my business, I balanced school and business. In May 2013, I received my BS in Management-Entrepreneurship from California State University-San Marcos and decided to pursue my business full-time.

In 2012, I expanded my line to include designs made with made with SWAROVSKI® ELEMENTS, most of which can be customized. I now designs almost exclusively in SWAROVSKI® ELEMENTS because of the array of color options I can offer in these crystals! Customers love that they can create their own combos with the wide array of color and design options.

Additionally, I became a SWAROVSKI® ELEMENTS Ingredient Branding Partner in February 2014.

Flawed Perfection Jewelry is all about quality, sophisticated designs at affordable prices. Each design is playful and fun, all while still being professional and wearable for the office. I create designs that women can wear from playing at the park with their kids to dinner with the girls. My sparkly designs can provide a bit of sparkle or a stack of sparkle, depending on your preference.

What inspires your creative process? Why do you do what you do?

Born, raised, and currently residing in North San Diego County, California, I’m constantly inspired by the beautiful Pacific Ocean. I’m also inspired by fun and unique color combos. One of my favorite parts of the business is finding stunning color combos.

I love that women can use jewelry to express their personalities or special moments in their lives. To see a woman’s face light up when she tries on her new piece from Flawed Perfection Jewelry brings me so much joy. I really believe jewelry can mean so much more than its obvious beauty and sparkle.

Additionally, in March 2013, I made a commitment to give back a percentage of my sales to various causes (many of which help women). I strongly believes in the idea that businesses need to give back, in addition to making money.

I’m very active on social media, so feel free to connect with me online: Twitter | Facebook | Pinterest | Instagram. Interested in stocking Flawed Perfection Jewelry at your boutique? Contact me today and let’s chat!

I absolutely LOVE these fun designs and the amazing sparkle in each piece! But even more I love that each piece purchased gives a little something back to women in need 🙂 Megan, I love your heart!! I hope you’ll visit Megan’s Shop and Blog and say Hello!!
