The sun is shining, the birds are chirping and spring is pretty much here to stay in Texas 🙂 I’ve been itching to create a new spring fabric wreath ever since the Hubs insisted on taking my valentines wreath down the day after valentines! So I took a little time this week end to whip up some new decor for my front door! And I am definitely loving the Spring Fabric Wreath I put together!
With some strips of fabric and a glue gun, I turned a boring wreath form into this fun, bright and very spring-y wreath that looks awesome on the front door (if I do say so myself 😉 )
I wrapped the wreath form with strips of fabric that were 3 inches wide. Added half of a crocheted pink doily. Next was some rolled fabric flowers in several fun colors.
Next up was this darling Mini Fabric Bunting! Have you ever made mini bunting? Its fun… and maybe a little addicting 😀 Want to make some for yourself? Its easy!
First, pick your fabric, grab your glue gun and some bakers twine. Cut your fabric into 3 x 1.25 inch pieces. Fold those little pieces in half. Leaving a good length of twine at one end, take your first folded piece of fabric and place the twine in the fold mark. Add a thin line of hot glue and fold the fabric piece with the twine at the top of the fold. Repeat for as many pieces of bunting as you’d like. Once you’re done with the fold/twine/glue process, you can either trim the bottoms into fun shapes, or leave them as is. Either way, you’ve got some serious mini cuteness on your hands! When you’re done you can add your mini bunting to your own spring fabric wreath!
We’ll see what the Hubs thinks of this wreath when he gets home in a few days. He’ll probably protest the “excessive amount of girly colors”, but he’ll just have to deal. As far as I’m concerned this spring fabric wreath is perfect and I LOVE it!
Are you a fan of wreaths? Do you make your own wreaths?

That is so cute! And it looks as if even an un-crafty person such as myself could do it. 🙂
