Adventures with Shelli

Yesterday I talked about the vintage sheet quilt I whipped up in a single day and mentioned my friend Shelli that drove with me to deliver it in Fort Worth. Well we didn’t just deliver the quilt, we went on a little adventure too!

It might have been a dreary, rainy day, but we didn’t let that stop us! After we dropped off the quilt we had lunch… then it was time to SHOP!

After a quick trip into the pet store for goodies for the #monsterkittens, we headed into crafters paradise aka Joanns 😀

Sale Fabric is my Love Language! - BusyBeingJennifer.com

I’m pretty sure that sale fabric is my love language! There was so much goodness up for grabs that it was almost impossible to choose!

Between Shelli and I, we piled that cart pretty high with all kinds of yarn, scrap booking supplies, and FABRIC! Lots and Lots of yummy fabrics 🙂

And then we went to Target! - BusyBeingJennifer.com

Of course we couldn’t leave town without hittin up Target! I scored some stationary goodies on clearance and in the dollar spot. Its been so long since I’ve gotten to go shopping with a girl friend. It was some much needed and long over due retail therapy! And don’t worry, we didn’t break the bank! Somehow we both managed to stick to our set budgets 🙂

What do you do when you need a little break?

When I need a little break I go to the movies! I love loosing myself in the story for the moment, escaping my reality, falling into a sweet state of bliss. Speaking of which, I'm going tonight. 🙂
And you just reminded me, I need to hit up Target for a little stationary myself.
Looks like you guys had fun. Thanks for reminding me of the importance to do so!

I love to go out to dinner with the other half. If I don't do that walking around Hobby Lobby or World Market does it for me. I have to learn to set limits for myself. I always spend too much at World Market.
