8 Fun & Creative Summer Ideas

This post may contain affiliate or brand partner links. Read our full disclosure here.

After an eventful and exhausting weekend, I’m down with one heck of a flare up! The plan for today to is to relax, watch New Girl on Netflix and get my body back under control! I’ll tell you all about it later, but in the mean time, the lovely Vanessa is here taking over my blog for the day!

Hey guys, I’m Vanessa from Our Thrifty Ideas. I’m happy to be over here today, giving Jennifer some much needed R&R, and hopefully sparking your creativity with some fun Summer ideas.

This is my all time favorite season. I even just moved 5 hours away from my home just to be in warmer weather, and have less snow during the year! So when it comes to decorating, cooking, and playing for this season I am completely on board. Maybe even a little more excited than most; but it’s so worth it. So I’m gonna share with you some of the fun recipes and other summer themed ideas I have shared on my site.

Watermelon Limeade Pops from OurThriftyIdeas.com

One of my favorite summer posts is my Watermelon Limeade pops. They were my son’s idea to make, and he helped in almost every aspect of the recipe. It was a great bonding experience, plus we get to eat them ALL THE TIME this summer and not feel guilty about sugar overload.

Homemade ice cream in a jar from OurThriftyIdeas.com

Make homemade Ice Cream in a jar. This one is a fun activity for the kids, and gets your arms slightly sore at the same time!

Last but not least, I love these printables for pretty much any summer party. Just wrap a water bottle or juice box and you look like you’ve got it all together!

Thanks so much for letting me stop by and share some of my summer posts with you. Hope this gave Jennifer some much needed R&R today.
