Hi Ya’ll! I’m Jennifer from Finding My Way in Texas.

In case you couldn’t tell from my blogs name, I’m new to Texas and still trying to find my way 🙂 When I am not hopelessly lost in the countryside, you can find me at the local fabric or thrift stores, at my towns fabulous old-timey soda fountain or here at home getting my hands dirty with a project or two. I have a coffee and chocolate addiction and I am constantly devouring books. And no day is complete in our house without some snuggles from the puppy.

What do you blog about?

I blog about pretty much anything and everything. Lots of DIY, crocheting and sewing projects. I’m in the process of teaching myself how to quilt… so far its been going ok. *fingers crossed*

What are a few of your favorite posts on your blog and why?

The most popular post on my blog is a burlap wreath I made in the fall. I didn’t have a wreath form… but you’ll have to go check it out to see what I did 🙂 I’ve also shared a recipe for No Knead Bread that is so yummy! One of my most recently completed projects is a Wool Eater Baby Blanket, it was time and yarn consuming but I LOVE the way it turned out!  This year I’ve also joined with Meig and Brandi from Crafty Girl Squared to host Pinned it, Made it.Its for all Pinterest Inspired projects. We’d love for you to pop by and party with us on Fridays 🙂

Tell me about your shop – when did you start it and why?

My Shop is called Salter Creations… Salter is my last name. I know right? So creative *insert eye roll here*. I’ve got a little bit of everything in there. I started the shop mostly because I keep making things and I simply can’t keep them all! I love all the things I create, but we have a little house, so some of them have to go. A few of my favorite things are the Tangled up in Pink necklace, the Ladybug Hats and all of the Rosette Charm necklaces.

What is your one must-have Spring necessity?

In order to get ready for the flip flop season (which is really long here in Texas) I HAVE to have a pedicure. Gotta get those tootsies pretty 🙂

If you could snap your fingers and be anywhere in the world right at this second, where would it be?

In the snap of my fingers… There isn’t any other place I’d rather be than right here in Texas with my Hubs and Puppy. Now if I could snap my fingers and transport people here, I’d have to bring my family and besties for a big ole Texas style cook out 🙂

If there was anyone you could meet, who would you choose and why?

Hmmm… this one is tough. I’d have to say it’s a toss up between Jennifer Garner, my all time favorite actress and Adele, my all time favorite singer (whom I’ve been told I look like)

Favorite Valentine’s Day Memory?

Favorite Valentines memory? Hmmm… its never been a big deal for me. I remember exchanging valentines cards and little presents at youth group as a teenager. Other than that I’m going to say this one is my favorite 🙂 Its my first here in Texas with my new Hubs, and while he had to work the night shift we did do a few things to make the day special.

What’s made you happy today?

Today I accomplished a lot! I’m very much a list type of person and I get a little rush with every checkmark 🙂 I started a new quilt, made some new things for the shop and got a bunch of errands and housework done! Go Me! I’ve also started working on a Ladies Night Out fundraiser. My Pastor and his wife, one of my best friends here in Texas, have started the process of adopting. I’m putting together a ladies night full of food, fun and shopping to help support them! Its going to be a blast!
