There are a lot of things I’d love to do to my back yard, it is in definite need of a makeover…. but in the meantime, I’m making the most of the space and beautiful trees! There is nothing I love more than a little picnic and some reading to relax after a stressful day. But sometimes it gets a little dark before I’m ready to go into the house, so I added some DIY hanging lanterns to my favorite tree!
Now that the temperature is starting to drop a little and fall is approaching, I anticipate spending a lot of time outside. A LOT! I’ve missed relaxing under my tree, reading and snuggling with my puppy. With my new DIY Hanging Lanterns in place I can stay out there as long as I want!
This is an insanely easy DIY project! Here’s what you need to make your own DIY Hanging Lanterns…
Mason Jars
Krylon Sea Glass Finish Spray Paint
Jute Twine
Sand Paper (Super fine grit)
Spray your Mason Jars.
Allow to dry completely.
Lightly sand the raised pattern to distress the jars just a little.
Tie the Jute Twine around them.
Handing them from a tree.
All done!
Now all thats left to do is enjoy your new DIY hanging lanterns! With my hubby on the road most of the time, I like to take myself on dates… and these hanging lanterns in my favorite spot in my back yard add the perfect touch!
