Have you been on some summer adventures?? I’ve been on a few local ones, and in my travels I tend to collect things… like pretty rocks. I know. I’m weird. Tell me something I don’t already know. 😉 I felt like the rocks needed to be turned into something… so rock flower wall decor it is!
Supplies:
- Bag of small rocks or rocks you’ve collected – I bought a bag for $1 at the dollar store and used a few I collected.
- Small sticks
- Board – you could cut and stain or paint a piece of wood, use pallet wood, or barn wood
- Hot glue gun and glue
Instructions:
Begin by making sure your board is prepped. If you are using a piece of barn wood or pallet be sure to thoroughly clean the board before using. If you are painting or staining a piece of wood make sure to apply 2 coats of paint or stain and allow plenty of time for the finish to completely dry.
Next lay the rocks and sticks out to create your rock flowers. This part took me some times because I wanted to be sure the “petal” parts of the flowers were all about the same color and size. I arranged them several times before deciding on my final layout.
After you have decided on the placement of your rocks and sticks carefully glue them into place using the hot glue gun and glue.
When all the rocks and sticks are in place your rock flower decor piece is ready to display!
You can add a picture frame hanger or wire to the back if you’d like to hang the piece or it can lean on a shelf.
Isn’t it pretty! And such a fun and practical way to keep those “rocky mementos” from your adventures! With a little supervision, this rock flower wall decor could be a kid friendly project too!

This could easily turn into a quote sign or something for etsy. Good idea.

This is adorable and I could see doing this for my home. I have rocks from the different places we lived. Currently those rocks are in a vase but I could spare a few for a project like this.

This looks like a project I could actually do! I suspect Sweet E would love helping, too!

I love this! I think I’m going to make one for our bathroom wall because then I won’t have to worry about it getting ruined from the moisture! Great wall art!
