I don’t know about you, but I can be a little rough on my gadgets. Ok, more than a little rough. I’ve broken more than my share of screens and a few times its happened inside my purse! Even with screen protectors, I decided it was time to make my phone a little safer and definitely more protected inside its very own crocheted phone cozy!
I wish I could give you an exact pattern for this phone cozy, but I really just kind of winged it and didn’t write doe the steps as I went. Opps!
I can tell you that I started with about 8 fsc (foundation single crochet) which was just a tiny bit shorter than the width of my phone. Then I single crocheted around, adding 2 single crochet in the ends. And I just kept single crocheting around and around in the back loop. About an inch from the top, I switched colors. For the loop I fsc 5 the chained 3 and sc back down the fsc and back around, ending with a slip stitch.
All in all this crocheted phone cozy took about 30 minutes. I worked on it in between customers at the market event I was at with my Handmade Shop 🙂 My booth neighbors were surprised when when I showed them I was done and what I had created 🙂
Are you a “gadget wrecker” too?

This is adorable, and I love the colors! I’m terrible to my phone too; or should I say, my kid is terrible to it.

My mum made me something similar to this for my iPod when I had one. Yours is so cute!
