Hello Happy Hour Readers!

My name is Jennifer from Finding My Way in Texas where I blog about adjusting to my new life in Texas and all of my DIY/Crafty endeavors. I also own and create for my handmade business and etsy shop Salter Creations. I’m a glue gun addict, have a crazy obsession with owls and I have been known pull all-nighters to finish a project at the last minute. I’m crazy excited to be here! Adrianne was one of my first followers and is someone I admire very much in the bloggy world 🙂

I know its still a little early… but my brain is full of Christmas, so I just couldn’t help myself 🙂 This is my first Christmas in Texas and my fiance was very much a boring bachelor before I got here. Therefore there is not a Christmas decoration to be found in this house! So I am starting with some ornaments for the tree 🙂

You’ll need a plain (I used plastic) ornament, glue (I used a thin paint brush to apply mod podge) , sparkles, roll of streamers or crepe paper, 1 inch hole punch and glue gun (not shown).

To start punch approximately 30 circles out or the crepe paper. I wanted sparkles at the edge of circles. Using the paint brush I applied a thin layer of glue and then added the sparkles.
Once your sparkles have dried apply one un-sparkled circle to the centre of the bottom of your ornament. It will get mostly covered up, but we don’t want any of the ornament to show through.

Using a small amount of glue, apply circles around the base of the ornament. Overlap the circles to ensure the ornament doesn’t show through.

Add layers of sparkly circles around the ornament until you reach the top! And you’re done 🙂 Isn’t it pretty?

There are a ton of ways your could change this up! I need to get some spray adhesive so I can glitter the whole thing! Change the color of the crepe paper or use scrapbook paper for a completely different look.

Thanks for having me Adrianne! Its been a pleasure 🙂
