To Camp, or Not to Camp?

That is the Question.

Or at least the question that’s been bandied back and forth in this house for the past 3 days.

Hubs came home from work on Sunday and said he wanted to get away… which means camping somewhere for a night or two when he’s off. Which I’m mostly fine with.

But our ideas of what “Camping” should be are DRASTICALLY different!

I’m sure you can see where we differ on our opinions of what camping really should be!

For the most part we compromise, I get an outhouse/washroom facilities and he gets rugged, untouched (or as close to untouched as we can get) wilderness. We both agree that an air mattress is a must!

But, apparently, with the wet and warm weather we’re having there have been a TON of snake sightings!

I. DO. NOT. DO. SNAKES.

Period.

End of discussion.

So know we’re back to the discussion of whether or not to camp… Half of me wants too, the other half of me will run screaming back to Canada at the first hint of anything that slithers.

Maybe we’ll just go for the day. Somewhere with a bathroom and a swing set.

I have the sudden urge to swing 🙂

Happy Wednesday!

Here at "home" it is the May long weekend. You can't break with tradition and NOT go camping on the May long weekend. Even I'm going camping on the May long weekend – course my version of camping involves a 26ft trailer complete with electricity and running water – but it's the getting out that counts 🙂 Go, have a blast.

Haha. I think you're not the only woman out there with this idea of 'camping.' I'm with you on the snakes.

Love this post! The reverse is actually true in our house. After spending his Army days pretty much roughing it in the great outdoors, my hubby wants all the conveniences of home when we travel. Me? I want to rough it in a tent with a cot (my old bones don't like the ground anymore). In 27 years of marriage we have camped twice. Ha ha!
