Looking for a way to spice up your windows? These DIY window treatments are easy and look amazing!

My office at home has been a neglected space for a long time. We put all the essentials in there, but I’ve never really taken the time to make it look pretty.

There is a strange set of double windows in the corner of the room that I’ve never figured out what to do with. However, this summer, I plan to hang something on them that is functional and pretty.

To inspire me, I’ve collected some of my favorite DIY window treatments from around the web. As always, I’m looking for easy DIY projects that will not cost a lot and will make the windows look awesome. Can it be done? Let’s find out!

I like this DIY window shade tutorial because it’s completed quickly, with minimal effort, but it still looks awesome. I also love how they used sheets of paper as the template for their curtains. Who needs measuring tape?

This tutorial is a little more complicated than the rest, but it looks worth the extra effort. I love how tailored and elegant the curtains look. They also use Velcro, which is pretty much brilliant.

These curtains are awesome because they are made from a fitted sheet. We always have too many fitted sheets lying around. I wouldn’t have to pay anything for the fabric!

This no-sew valence is so easy. I love that it’s held up with safety pins. Perfect for something fast and pretty!

If you don’t like any of the curtain designs you see in-store, purchase something bland and paint your own designs on! I love this design with stripes, but I’ve also seen pretty stencil designs that look awesome, too.

Drop cloth curtains are popular right now, but I love how this design takes the curtains to the next level with customized edging. It looks amazing!

I’ve always wanted to make something ombre, and even though it’s not quite so popular anymore, I still think ombre curtains would look really cool. All you need is some dye and fabric!

I love the look of these key panels. The hardest thing about re-creating these curtains would be to keep the sewing lines straight. I have a problem with sewing lines that are completely straight. But if I could manage to sew a straight line, these would look awesome in my office!

If it weren’t for the fact that I have terrible handwriting and doodle skills, I would totally draw my own curtain designs! I think I would try writing book quotes or maybe drawing a fictional map.
