Yesterday I talked about my Word for the Year and the Resolutions that go along with it, so today I am thought I’d share some of the projects I am hoping to tackle and accomplish in 2014!
The first project that is literally going to take me ALL YEAR is the Granny square crochet along that I’ve joined. Each day for the next 364 days I’ll crochet a granny square. At the end of the year I’ll have a large, awesome crocheted afghan! I’m pretty excited! And its going to be a great project for using up scraps and odds-n-ends of yarn I’ve had sitting around 🙂
I JUST finished my Christmas Quilt for 2013, but I’m already thinking about next years Christmas quilt… I’m thinking something along the lines of this…
I’m loving the gorgeous reds of this one! I don’t know that I’d do stripes, but I’m definitely digging the red and white! Via Flickr Of course, I have no idea what I’ll do for the fabrics yet, but finding the perfect patterns and colors is half the fun 🙂
I definitely need a new bag/purse. So I’ll be making at least 1 Classic Messenger Bag this year. In fact I already have the fabrics and the perfect idea on how to personalize it a bit!
I would also like to give dying some yarn a try this year! I love the idea and ease of this Kool Aid Yarn Dying method. I think I could make some seriously cool yarn!
I’ve also started working on a special quilt for my hubby’s birthday… that is only 3.5 weeks away… so I really need to get busy with it! I’ll definitely be showing it off around the end of the month 🙂
I’ve got lots of other ideas and projects I’d like to do… I’m sure its going to be an interesting and busy year with these projects!
Do you have any projects that you’re planning on tackling this year?

What a great list of projects! The granny quilt challenge is quite impressive, that sure takes a lot of dedication 🙂 My big creative goal this year is to learn to knit or crochet. I may be back with questions for you!

Your quilt is beautiful! I'm thinking of taking on some more advanced sewing projects this year that involve making things from scratch instead of just altering clothes.
