In case you haven’t noticed I’m a little “stache” obsessed! Hehehe. But honestly whats not to love about it? When I saw Christmas cards at a local shop with this saying on it, I knew I needed to turn it into an ornament for my tree 🙂
Here’s what you’ll need to make your own…
Bakeable Clay
Paint
Paint Brushes
Circle cutter (Or in my case a wine glass)
Mustache Stamp
Rolling Pin
Warm up and get the clay pliable.
If, like me, you have a really old table that the clay sticks too, use wax paper. Roll the clay out to about 1/4 of an inch thickness.
Using a circular cookie cutter (or wine glass) cut a circle out of the rolled clay.
Take your mustache stamp and place it 3/5 of the way up the circle. Press lightly. Carefully remove the stamp from the clay. (If your stamp is “sticky” use a little corn starch to dry it up so it easily releases from the clay)
Add a little hole to enable hanging on the tree. Bake according to instructions.
Add a layer or 2 of white paint. Allow to dry. Paint your mustache.
Using a sharpie [or paint if you’re talented enough 😉 ] to write your message.
Add some bakers twine and hang on your tree!
Pretty easy right? And so much fun! My hubby got a good chuckle out of this one… and he’s usually not that appreciative of the things that I make. LOL
Happy Saturday!!
PS. I’m off at a quilting retreat this weekend! You can follow along by using #quiltingatsunsetsretreat 🙂 I’m posting pics and updates all weekend long! 🙂

Very cute! Thanks for the step-by-step instructions. I need to start making my own stuff like this!

I totally just made some Staching through the snow ones. I painted a stache on one side and the phrase on the other side of a glass one. Painting words on a small ornament was definitely harder than I thought!
