The 4th of July is almost upon is! This year is just flying by, but I kind of don’t mind! I LOVE summer and any chance to hang out with friends and family is a great one! With all of this party-going and entertaining happening, I’ve been whipping up all kinds of goodness to take hither and yon… and these Patriotic Muddy Buddys have been a hit every where I’ve taken them!

Patriotic Muddy Buddys

Ingredients

1 cup Milk Chocolate Chips
4 cups Rice Chex Cereal
1 1/4 cups Powdered Sugar
M&M’s peanuts in red, white, and blue
Whoppers Candy

Patriotic Muddy Buddys

Directions

Put your 4 cups of cereal in a large bowl

Use a microwave safe bowl and add your 1 cup of chocolate

Melt your chocolate on high for 30 seconds stir then repeat for another 30 seconds until melted

Begin to drizzle your chocolate over your cereal by using a large spoon lightly mix as you add chocolate

Make sure to coat your chocolate evenly

In large ziplock bag add your powder sugar

Begin to add your chocolate coated cereal in plastic bag with powdered sugar.

Seal your bag and shake to cover the creal with the powder sugar
Let sit for 1-2 minutes

Now spread your cereal out on a wax paper lined baking sheet to dry 1 hour

Replace your cereal in large bowl and begin to add your Whoppers, M&Ms in red, white, and Blue

Have fun and be creative
