I love my wreaths. The Hub’s is not such a big fan of my front door decor. So I take advantage of the time he spends on the road to come up with new wreaths and enjoy them while I can 😀 This winter snowman wreath is my new favorite thing!
With all the holiday clearance sales that were happening I scored some awesome wintery/christmas goodies perfect for getting my wreath making on! Including this adorable little snowman! I knew as soon as I saw him that he would make the perfect edition to the next wreath I was thinking of creating! (Similar snowman ornament)
Isn’t he adorable??
To make this White and Silver Winter Snowman Wreath, I used some left over batting from a quilt project. I cut it into 3 inch strips and wrapped it around the wreath form. A few dabs of hot glue along the way secured it all in place.
Next I added the white a silver “curlicues”, these were a bit of a challenge! The “curlicues” were designed to be inserted into a Christmas tree and had clips on the end. I didn’t want to remove the clips in case the whole thing fell apart. So I bent the clips under as much as I could, and then wrapped a thin strip of the quilt batting around the “ugly bit” that still remained. Now you can even tell!
A few straight pins tucked in strategic places have the curlicues laying where I wanted them. All that was left to do is to add the snowman! LOTS of hot glue secures this little guy in place.
And with a silver glitter bow on top, my winter snowman wreath was complete!
This whole winter snowman wreath project took about 20 minutes! It took my twice as long to clean up all the glitter! And I am still finding bits of silver glitter in random places… through the WHOLE house! I think the pups tracked it around while I was busy crafting. LOL

I know, glitters are terrible, I also used them for a Christmas ornament and I keep finding them everywhere! 🙂

Jennifer, he is darling! I love finding something like this for winter; after the holidays everything looks so barren, it’s fun to see a little sumpin up! Thanks for bringing this by Throwback Thursday and we’re looking forward to next week’s post already! I’ll be pinning it to our board, so please follow us there! 🙂
