Have you ever noticed that just about everything gets 700% cuter when its mini-sized? Its especially true when it comes to adorable fabric and Buntings… Shrink’em down stick’em on a cake and you’ve got just about the cutest cake out there!! Today I’m sharing a quick tutorial on how to make your own mini cake bunting!
What you need:
Fabric scraps – 1.5 x 3 inches
String
Hot Glue and Glue Gun
2 Skewers
Cut your strips to 1.5 x 3 inches. Iron them flat. Cut a length of string. Carefully add some hot glue to the center of the strip of fabric. Lay the string across (be sure to leave a “tail” of at least a few inches) and then fold the fabric over. Repeat with all the fabric pieces. I recommend 5 to 6. Once all the pieces are secured, trim the ends to add your “bunting points”. I like to alternate between 1 point and 2.
Tie the ends of your bunting to skewers – pointy side down – and insert them into your cake.
It doesn’t get much easier or cuter than a little mini cake bunting!
